Exigent Receives Add-On for GPS Program; Total Potential Value Is $6 Million
MELBOURNE, Fla., June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Exigent International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: XGNT - news; CHX: XNT - news) subsidiary Software Technology, Inc. (STI) announces a $6 million add-on to an existing Global Positioning System (GPS) subcontract. Additional licenses and maintenance over the next 2 plus years have a potential of generating an additional $6 million for STI's flagship command-and-control product OS/COMET.

OS/COMET is the core element of the software subsystem that provides Telemetry, Tracking, and Control (TT&C) for new GPS ground stations. OS/COMET's state-of-the-art capabilities supports STI's customer needs with maintenance and OS/COMET software in making time and orbit management more precise for greater accuracy and reliability. OS/COMET has been certified as Y2K compliant, meeting a requirement for the customer's applications. The system was selected as a key component of the GPS architecture upgrade in 1995.

In addition to providing software, STI supplies engineering services and training to tailor the OS/COMET database and software facilities to the demanding needs of the customer's requirements. As a subcontractor to the GPS program, and as the primary developer for the TT&C mission capability, STI has supplied a number of incremental releases of steadily increasing functionality. The latest release has significant improved functionality, in addition to being Y2K-compliant.

STI is a subcontractor to Lockheed Martin Mission Systems on the GPS program.
