MARINA DEL REY, Calif., March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Novell Inc. (Nasdaq: NOVL) and Quarterdeck Corp. (Nasdaq: QDEK) today announced an agreement whereby Quarterdeck will provide a product to enable NetWare customers to access their internal Web servers via Novell's Internet Packet eXchange (IPX) protocol. This means that NetWare customers will not have to install Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) stacks on every desktop to connect to their Intranets. The Quarterdeck product will be part of Novell's Intranet publishing offering that will be announced at Internet World next month in San Jose, Calif.
