I don't know... maybe it has something to do with the fact that VZ pulled its application to offer long distance service in Massachusetts (they said they will re-file the application with updated information... hopefully satisfying concerns raised by the Justice department)... or perhaps because rival SBC just warned because of the slowing economy.
