I don't know what effect if any Ikos's announcement would have on Quickturn's stock price or profits in the future. I did listen to the conference call and the question of Ikos's new product was never entertained. Mr Lobo reiterated that he felt from talking to various and customers that Quickturn had the best products in the marketplace.Mr Lobo felt that orders missing in March were not lost so much to competition, but to engineers, potential customers, delaying their decisions farther out. His own theory was that companies are sticking with current generation of products to recoup their org. investment. Unlike, the problems that occured in 1994, this time around he is confident in Quickturn's products. Sales in Asia are strong,as well as Europe. Sales are still slow in the U.S. though. Mr. Lobo said that earnings this current quarter would meet or possibly beat analysts expectations. Thought I would add that Speedsim had a 95% profit margin for quar.,while main core of products had a 65% margin, down from 68%. I got the impression that the analysts were very much impressed with the Co. and where they were headed in the future. I am adding to my postion at the open this morning. Only time will tell me if I made the right move Good Luck TO All Jeff
