If you have five kids in the home, the oldest being home schooled by your wife, your wife also having dealt with a failing father, and now sitting around the house like a zombie while the kids are unwashed and untaught, that's not looking out for your kids
From what you say above, I think there is plenty of guilty parties from the "moral responsibility" standard... I do not disagree with you, but then again, whose morality is the setting standard ? or what about "privacy" issues ?

Surely, these people had some sort of connection to advisors, counselors, pastors, whatever... I agree that the father was not really caring for the family, but the more important question is what led them to fall to such level, so others can be helped before they reach a similar situation.
In reality, no one can help those who have lost the motivation to help themselves. |
