James, in the Canadian Revival of the late 60's and early 70's with the Sutera twins---it swept across Canada and our church was touched by it---they discovered that if they called things shortcomings, mistakes, good intentions---they didn't get the victory, but when they started calling these things sins, the revival fires fell. The revival started in a Saskatoon Baptist Church. When the invitation was given, the power of God fell---two brothers came forward, neither knowing the other had done so. One came down the left aisle, the other down the right. They had not spoken to each other for years (yes they were blood brothers)---in their brokeness before God, each got up from the altar and began looking for each other---when they spotted one another, they ran towards each other with arms outstretched and confessed their sins and asked the other for forgiveness---all heaven broke loose. A car load of us went to Canada and had to wait outside in line for hours to get in---the glory fell---the services lasted for hours and hours---afterglow services became the norm---lasting well past midnight. God bless you. From denominational traditional Jack |
