Decapitation occurs with come frequency in the US and it is practically always in an effort to dispose of the corpse. There have been multiple cases I know of in the last several years in Dallas, Houston, and Miami, none of which were terrorist incidents that weren't national news events.

I only know of a couple of cases which were terrorist incidents.
