Yes, exercise and reduced food intake.That's been known for centuries.....I gather you have no weight problem.... Severe obesity is not solved, in general, by that regimen. You realize how many miles you have to run, eg at 7mph, to lose a pound???? The surgeries have helped thousands and could help many thousands more..... Think of the many problems that plague us and that are controlled by drugs that 50 years ago didn't exist.

Many obese people lose weight the old fashion way. Invasive surgery is very dangerous and should only be done as a last resort........IMO.
