Chip, I got my Zack's information directly from Zack's. While I did not have a Zack's subscription, I did, out of curiosity, go to the Zack's web site and get a 1-month free trial. Based on the errors in their CREAF information (and there are blatent errors) I certianly would not want to pay for this service. YOU are the one that dragged Zack's into this. Why don't YOU get a better reporting service? I certainly wouldn't rely on them. In any case, something CONSTRUCTIVE has come out of this - thank you Chip! Who is going to call CREAF on Monday morning to point out the error and have Zack's correct it? (I suspect they have somebody reading here, though, so that won't be necessary - but I'm sure we'll have 5 volunteers anyway...) To repeat, the error is that in some places in their report they have incorrectly reported 4Q97 (6/97) earnings as .48 rather than .55. In other places, they have correctly reported it as .55. I suspect what happened is that the .48 from 3/97 "slid over a column" when some bleary-eyed data entry clerk noticed that two columns were identical (6/97 and 9/97) and duplicated the wrong column. Additionally, their quarterly estimates for 98 don't add up to the yearly no matter how you slice it. (I suppose it's possible that the analysts are completely irrational and have submitted yearly figures that don't add up! :) )
