I had a similar experience.

If you're between 12,000-20,000 feet, it is always a good idea to hunt through several ISPs to find one who will service you. The reason some don't is that they just don't want to bother trying to tweak the system to get you up if you're outside of 12,000 feet. Too much opportunity to service the under 12,000s out there.

IDSL is just another form of ISDN and not worth the money or headache IMO.
