It was about getting control of a global pandemic and saving millions of lives in the process. And it wasn't off the wall. It was planned before Bush was even elected. It was an appropriate and highly cost-effective use of taxpayer dollars.

It is essentially the same amount Obama is wasting on renewables in his new program plus what he paid the health insurance companies under-the-table last year.

Which do you think is a better expenditure? Building windmills or saving millions of lives?
