Assuming the goods remaining on the distributors shelves will not have to be marked down too severely to sell (an iffy assumption given current market conditions in my opinion), your inference that a quarter of costs without offsetting revenue should eventually be offset by a quarter of revenues without offsetting costs is a good one. There could be an upside surprise in the future, all else being equal. (Is it ever?)
