EMC may slash costs further if economy worsens

I'd like to add. I don't know how long an analyst conference is supposed to go on with a company. But... one of the news channels mentioned that EMC is spending two whole days in conference with analysts for this quarter.... yesterday and today. Said it was a boring tutorial on the basics of storage and what EMC (now get this) plans to do with new products.
Am I wrong? Or is EMC spending way more time talking than doing? Little ole NTAP already has it's NAS/SAN convergence on the market.
