ESST spent only 8.5% of revenue on R&D. That's not a good idea. For new products, look for them to make acquisisions. $6.5M a Q is not buying enough.

Gross margins were 50.8%. Those older lines of their's must not command high margin's. They did comment that their VCD sales were a "high margin business."
