Maybe so, but who makes more money, Bavarian Motor Werkes or General Motors??? That is exactly my point.

I am not in a position to argue the technical merits of directory services, but I do know that MSFT has severely trounced many a technically superior product, many of which I have actually purchased myself. Just looking at my nostalgia shelf: Geoworks Ensemble, DR-DOS, OS/2... The list goes on virtually ad infinitum. Don't put your chips on who has the best code, put them on who sells the most software. Using the aforementioned metric, MSFT has a history of trouncing NOVL through several manifestations of management. I would much rather NOVL produce a better marketing program and let up on the technical development than the other way around. The previous fights were lost on market penetration and retention tactics, not technical capabilities.

Those that refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
