The general election is/was on Jun 7th. It was
to elect the representatives to the parliament,
which in turns select the president(currently
scheduled for Nov.). Early returns suggest that
Megawati Sukarnoputri's PDI-P party is in the lead.
The experts are predicting a coalition government is
likely because it is doubtful that PDI-P has enough
seats to govern. The exact outcome won't be known till
sometime to come (If I am not mistaken, the "official result"
won't be out till late June or early July.)
