Gina Tetreault Phone Call

I spoke to Gina at 18:45 ET on Wednesday. I said that I understood from the mention of the IBM deal on June 22 and again (still) at the CC as a "memorandum of understanding" that the deal might not be finalized. I added that I knew she could not comment on the status of the deal but asked if a joint sales efforts was actually happening as we spoke. She said that she "believed it was going to happen in the near future." (I took that as "no, not yet.")

I asked if Laura was still there and Gina said that she was.

Those were the only two questions I asked.

I will be uncomfortable until we hear about some substantive progress on the deal. The CC on August 2 said nothing much about IBM-GMGC that was not said on June 22. I was surprised that, after more than four weeks, there was little more to report.

The most positive thing I have heard are GMDude2's reports on the web site job listings. And I think this info is very significant as far as an indication on whether there finally is a bit of momentum.
