If you meant gigawatt hours you should have said so. People supporting alternatives typically argue in terms of gigawatts. " X gigawatts of installed capcity" and such. That way they can ignore the fact that wind and have lower capacity utilization then coal and nuclear. (They might have higher utilization then gas generation, but thats because the gas turbines are used for peaking power, they can be turned on or off relatively easily and quickly whenever you might have a need for them, which doesn't apply to solar and wind)

The US has a target of 20% of our electricity to come from wind by 2030

Which its very likely to miss, quite possibly by a very large amount.
