You have a habit of speaking authoritatively on something you know nothing about. If you had bothered to read that excerpt I provided, or clicked the link, you would know that he is selling the drug through closed distribution. Because of that, he can control the amounts of the drug and there isn't enough for a potential competitor to do a clinical.

I do not believe that every generic ought to have to go through a high-dollar, bureaucratic approval process.

It doesn't. If you had bothered to read the article, you would know that they only have to prove it is as effective as the original. Which makes sense, they already know if it is effective or not. And whether or not it is safe.

As I said before, the present requirements for clinical trials takes too long and costs too much money. But that is a different issue than what we have here.
