Based on the 12.3 million revenue figure that was stated in the ESST conference call, the ASP for of VCD chips is only $19. Cube ASP was closer to $30 (based on previous posts). What is ESST doing with the $10 difference? Are they low balling all bids to get the business because it can't compete on quality/functionality? Giving the chips away or using the difference as grease money in Asia (I lived and worked in Asia for more than 3 years so I know what I'm talking about)? I don't see why they should have to undercut prices so much to get business. Does anyone know how much of Cube sales are VCD 1.0 vs 2.0? I think the market will move completely to VCD 2.0. As this transition and product cycles quicken, those companies without a competitive product will have problems keeping up. This is how Intel crushed AMD and Cyrix.

I still think Cube is the best pure digital play around.
