I have seen the new TMNT line of action figures recently shipped
and was quite impressed with quality, presentation, play value
and concept. The price of $5.99 for each toy sculpture is
competitive with similar offerings from other toy companies.

The line drops the modifiers, "Teenage Mutant," in favor of "Ninja
Turtles- The Next Mutation." The characters (heroes and villains)
have slimmed down, matured and appear closer to Eastman and
Laird's original concept of a more fiercesome foursome. There
are new characters introduced, as well. Now, we await the debut
of Haim Saban's (cf. Power Rangers) live action Fox network TV
show in September to galvanize interest in this well crafted and
imaginative new product line.
