As I see it, you have two options for cycling through and fixing posts: before or after Oracle to SQL migration. On the surface, it seems as simple as reading from the former, running various corrective routines, and then writing to the latter. However, there are also keys to maintain, stored procedures to convert, various illegal characters that need to be addressed, etc. so it would seem prudent to use some sort of migration tool. But I'm sure you've already got a good sense on how to handle this.

Once the SQL database integrity is confirmed, that would seem like the best time to run a few home-grown utilities to fix things like trailing <br> tags, old-style SI links (don't forget the SI numerical shortcuts), and to strip out "a href" tags if you want to be consistent with iHub (seems like a good idea because it would allow easier searching for words in links, but it does add overhead). I'm sure by the time you begin this task that we'll have a much larger list of ideas.
