Iran’s President Trolls GOP Candidates: They Can’t Even Find Iran On A Map (Video)

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani told CNN that the Republican presidential candidates were “laughable” and that “the people of Iran look at them as a form of entertainment.”
Speaking to CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, Rouhani stated that when he had time he would watch some of the Republican presidential debates – much to his amusement, telling her: “Some of it was quite laughable. It was very strange, the things that they spoke of.”
Rouhani went on to note that the GOP candidates were weak when it came to knowing much about Iran. “Some of them wouldn’t even know where Tehran was in relation to Iran,” he told Amanpour, adding: “Some of them wouldn’t know where Iran was geographically, not distinguishing that one is the capital of the other. What they spoke of was quite far away from the truth.”
Regarding the people of Iran and the debates, Rouhani stated that “the people of Iran were looking at it as a form of entertainment, if you will, and found it laughable.”
Rouhani also took the opportunity to remind the Republican slate that the recent nuclear treaty was an international agreement, not just one between the U.S. and Iran:
Can a government become a signatory to an international agreement and then the subsequent government tear it to shreds? This is something that only the likes of Saddam Hussein would do. So, any government that replaces the current government must keep itself committed to the commitments given by the previous administration. Otherwise, that government, that entire country will lose trust internationally.
