It suggests we aren't in the midst of runaway crisis. And it contradicts the idea that CO2, which HAS been increasing over the last 18 years, is some kind of master warming switch. The warming pause wasn't predicted by warming theory and failure to predict things accurately is a valid test of a theory.
The data only ever showed a nice smooth trend line upward in direction......trend line, get it? With data like this there are too many other variables that can a short term effect but do not affect the long term direction....

You're fierce resistance to accepting the data comes simply from your parochial interest in wanting more oil consumption to support your old industry and a virulent political interest which should not be part of the discussion of climate change...
