I think that William Katz makes an excellent post on the ESS thread regarding the future of both companies (post 591?). Like him, my point was/is that because ESS is eating (as I believe) CUBE's lunch in the VCD market, that all earnings projections and growth rates are incorrect -- whether stated by Alex or analysts. This would cause a downturn in the stock's price. Indeed, it has been pretty stagnant even in the face of "good" news. I'll visit here occassionally, but I probably won't be back until the dogfight begins in the DVD market between ESS and CUBE. I do feel that ESS's projections on releasing DVD chip are conservative and that they have a few tricks up their sleeves, but that is only guesswork. It's the sign of good businesmen.
