While the market has looked quiet on the surface, the vast majority of
stocks have been under a silent attack.

According to a recent report from the brokerage
house of Donaldson, Lufkin, & Jennrette, the
average decline of 3700 stocks on the New York
Stock Exchange and the NASDAQ, has been 24
percent, from their 52-week highs.

Their term for this performance is a "stealth" bear
market. What it means for many investors, is an
uneasy feeling in the stomach. It also means it's time
to re-evaluate your portfolio.....
