It's easy to reconstruct FOX's talking points for today:

1) Libby has a strong shot for appeal (the only station saying that).

2) Libby was convicted for lying, but there was no underlying crime.

3) It's all Clinton's fault.

We'll have to wait on #1, but it seems as likely as me winning today's $175 million Mega Millions.

On #2, no one seems to agree with them. Plame had covert status, and revealing that would be a crime. Joe Wilson made an interesting observation, saying that Fitzgerald may not have prosecuted that crime because 1) flaws in the actual law, and 2) the ability of Libby's defense to call for a ton of classified documents that the administration wouldn't allow, thus gumming up the whole case.

#3 is a everyday standing talking point at FOX.
