I poked around the web for a way to convert IB's .CSV files into .TXF, and found several sites that claimed to do it. The one I tried on a free trial failed - created a .TXF file that TurboTax rejected as garbage. But that was early on, and it may have been that they were trying to convert last year's Gain/Loss worksheet format - I don't know.

Then IB produced a true .TXF file for the 8949 that worked for me (but not others on this thread) and I dropped the search.

So far, I have had success importing into TurboTax from both .TXF files (IB) and directly from the broker (TD Ameritrade, Fidelity).
