I work with some union (taft-Hartley) groups, and in recent years their medical programs have seen the same changes as most corporate plans....higher co-pays, higher deductibles, network issues, limitations on certain benefits, migration to major medical rather than comprehensive coverage....retiree benefits (before medicare) are almost gone. Watch the current UAW negotiations on right now. All of this is on the table.
