Sheesh ! What an underhand thing to do.

Reminds me of one of my neighbour. We live in a nice neighborhood...neat and clean lawns and good looking frontyards. And trust me i love it that way. This guy is an old bachelor and loves to come over for dinners and enjoys the coffee invitations....but a few days i was sick and when i was unable to lug the trash can in right after the weekly garbage was collected, the cans lay there for a few hours before i lugged them in....and instead of telling me that he found that offensive, he complained to the local authorities. Lucky for me, another of my neighbor was there and when someone came to drop off the warning note...and this other neighbor fought with the guy on my behalf, insisting a few hours delay once in a while did not kill the neighbors...and besides, since they were both working, their own trashcans were outside for much longer, till the end of the day anyway.

Needless to say, the coffee invitations to our home stopped right away. It made me so mad that he would go behind my back when all he had to do is tell me.

I prefer if people are direct. It helps preserve the friendship and respect !
