What's the feeling up in Yellowknife. With the Con Mine on strike, and Royal Oak's future being decided over the next few days or weeks, diamonds must be hailed as the saviour of the NWT, if not Yk.

It's hard to believe that gold, which accounted for much of what Yellowknife is today, takes a back seat to almost all other sources of revenue (liquor sales revenues eclipse gold sales, as do diamonds, zinc, lead, and I suspect timber as well) in Restuvit.
