I think you are wrong. These is not useless garbages. Just look at how
much they could manipulate the market with these "useless garbages" to
the benefit of their respective firms. H&Q must be quite pissed that
they did not profit as much from Sood's statement as Needham and
Stephens from their analysts statement.

An analyst is valuable to a firm as long as they make tons of money for
the
firm, be it through accurate prediction or totally wrong predictions.
As long as they can allow the firm to front run, and then manipulate the
stock in the firm's favor in a big way, they will get plenty of bonuses.
Giving honest free opinions to help peons like us profit from their
analysis per se, does not make their firms any money. If peons like us
benefit from the publicly issued analysis, the firms will smile (I would
guess); however, this is not their firm's primary objective.


Again I have no use for them.
