Only blood lusting conservatives view the portrayals as being "glamorous". The rest of us view it as exposing the blood and gore, not endorsing it in any way. Besides, screen plays are decided by movie producers and executives, who profit from ticket sales and advertising revenues. These guys are hardly liberals. They make investment decisions to produce these movies to feed the markets in the mid-west. Nice propaganda spin though. You're really naive about how the movie industry and commerce in general.
