Herb / Canadian 88 Energy

I look forward to seeing EEE's financial and operating reports over the
next year. Their production numbers will be smashing. They will have
to invest quite heavily into infrastructure to support the capability of
their wells. I see the company becoming a powerful force in the
industry once pipeline problems are resolved. Can you forsee their
revenue in 1999 with increased gas prices. Wow. I think EEE is a
great buy at current share price.

The very first Canadian oil and gas company I invested in was Czar
Resources. This organization actually continues on as Orbit Oil &
Gas. My conclusion about this organization is that they grow reserves
and production, but not shareholder value. It just seemed year after
year, exercise of options and new equity offerrings offset gains in
production and reserves. I better clarify a point. Czar and Orbit were
two companies sharing the same management organization.

Have you seen posts # 816 and 823. I like Newport Petroleum quite
a little. I like to say the company is the next Berkley Petroleum, a
company whose shares have exploded in the last year. There are
others, reading back through the previous postings will identify the
companies.

Speaking of your interest in technology, are you familiar with Toronto
and Nasdaq listed Multi-Corp? What area of technology are you
involved with?

The last subject I want to mention and ask your opinion on, is oil and
gas exploration on and offshore Eastern Canada. Hunt Oil has
generated interest with one successful well and do you you see
increasing interest there. It appeared interest exploded with trhe Hunt
initial news and now everything has calmed as far as exploration
activity. I see where a small mining company has acquired a huge
acreage position onshore Newfoundland. This appears as a negative
situation to me. Evidently the better junior oils and majors have no
interest onshore. The move by the small mining company is typical
of mining plays, accumilate land in a popular area and hope for the
best. Usually it turns out to be a name play only and reason to exploit
increasing share value. Anyways, I would enjoy your comments in
this area.
