Speaking of hatchet jobs, I can think of a few great wastes of time but none greater than trying to create a new shell to compete with KDE and Gnome. That will soon die in typical Corel style, but what will be hilarious is to watch their "I meant to do that" gag. They will explain that it wasn't their lack of ability but rather their startling revelation that they should adhere to standards. I guess what's really funny is that they think anybody buys their back-peddling and spin tactics. We need to compile a list of all their previous claims and then plot them against what really happened.

Thinking optimistically with Corel is like not wearing your seatbelt, cancelling your life insurance then strolling through Central Park at three in the morning whisteling "I'm in the Money". That kind of optimistic thinking I can do without. There's a place for pessimism, if nothing else Corel serves as a reminder of that.
