I'm using Window 7 Home Premium.

I've got the audio line out hooked up to a nice loud speaker.

And I've got the Volume on the PC set to the maximum.

And there's barely any sound coming out. I've checked a few pages on the web and can't find a good explanation.

I've rebooted the PC a few times, and the sound is still barely audible.

This speaker should be able to drown out everybody in the room, but something is set to minimize audio.

Any ideas where to check to turn up the volume??
