Max, What slowdown are you referring to? Today's announcement showed retail sales dropped -0.2% but this included autos. Excluding autos, sales increased +0.4% which is a fairly strong number. Consumer confidence levels were announced today and they were over 106%. The moving 5 month average, I believe, is about 105.5%. The highest number ever is just over 107%. The above numbers certainly don't indicate a slowdown is forthcoming. Spending is up and confidence is high. Seems like things are fairly good. Also just a personal observation, there's no big electronic family gizmo out there this year, like the Nintendo 64 was last year. I'm hoping the lower cost PC's, especially CPQ's, become the product of choice this year either for the first timers or the folks who want two computers in their family. -Keith-
