Low volume suggests people are reluctant to buy at these levels. But surprisingly there are not many sellers either. So it is a struggle between buyers and sellers at a lower level of activity with the buyers (including short coverers) losing out i.e. they have to pay increasing prices.

What will bring more sellers into the fray?
What will bring more buyers into the fray?

That will determine the balance through the end of this year.
