The argument, made by some supporters of ObamaCare, is as incorrect as it is appalling.

Yes, I've seen that argument made. No, it's not technically "rationing" although the concept is similar. They're calling it that for the same reason you were refusing to call actual rationing "rationing"--for political advantage at the expense of truth. Each spin has just enough logic to it to pass with those too partisan to think critically. Each resonates with the home crowd, which doesn't care if it's accurate or intellectually dishonest as long as it provides an advantage. I used to find that appalling. Now I'm jaded and resigned.
