you are correct imho, the goog stock price is what causes a lot of bearishness. Not really a problem for me as a long term investor but there you are. As for this lockup, I think its overdone, seriously overdone, and the fact remains that institutions are not in this stock heavily yet and they need to be. I will be a buyer tomorrow I think, or early next week and thats it for me for a while. I bought my last large chunk of goog in the 168 range, a few mos ago. I thought then that there would be no movement in goog until after feb 14, as it turned out I was proven wrong. But I am very glad to get this lockup behind me as a long because it is artificially suppressing the stock and causing something of a panic.
