I have tried it and it wasn't worth the trouble. My child needed a book promptly having put off the assignment as is typical. The cost of prompt AMZN delivery vastly exceeded the discount. So I drove to my neighborhood Barnes and Noble superstore a mile away, got the book at whatever their discount was, and had a nice time browsing around. I like books as opposed to TV which maybe makes me an unrepresentative commentator on AMZN vs. a B&N store experience. Sort of like my wife would go to a mall over buying a product on the net.
