<OT>. We have the longest period of prosperity, we haven't reduced our dependence on OPEC, they see our longest period of prosperity, they start raising prices, until it's up 100% or so. Now it starts affecting our economy, as if no one saw it coming. Profits from our gains go overseas. We give them power over our economy? Does anyone think we really have representation in Washington when there is no 50 billion dollar program to invest in alternative energy? That would not only reduce the pressure towards inflation due to OPEC's price controls, but create new investments in new industry here in the USA. The 3 letter stocks aren't immune either. Thanks Greenspam, we need higher interest rates as well as costs rising due to oil. Does anyone thinks something is seriously wrong?
