yep, a dean of one of my son's schools told me it used to be to get a good department, become a dept head, get a good schedule etc 90% came from your teacher rating and 10% from the grants you brought, then 20 years back it was 50-50 and now he said it's 90-95% what grants you bring in and 5-10 your teaching awards.

and GW money is so easy to get. A professor said he was trying to get grant money for why frogs don't fukk so much (or some such nonsense) he said he didn't get a dime, so he changed it to GW are making frogs fukk less and he said million starting pouring in.
