Locopig, your doctor has an attitude problem which he should get over quickly if he plans to stay in practice on the government payroll. Of course, if he's near your age, he may choose to retire. Part of the entire single payer scheme is to rid the care giver community of older intransigent providers. These folks, in many cases, are old deadwood who have been coasting for far too long. Younger and fresher minds are waiting for their bite of the apple.
