I will be kind to you for a....moment.
If you're gonna play indices (and I really wanna do futures, but this terrifies my broker, and rightly so), you gotta do it on TA alone. Actually, in my most successful period (a year and a half ago now, sadly) I was, though I didn't realize it, trading ONLY on TA. That is, most of the time I hadn't the faintest idea what the company did, whether its products were successful, whatever. I watched stock price and movement, and everybody thought I was totally nuts. The worst mistakes I've ever made have occurred when I became too involved with the company and the product. TA does work, though fundies will override in execeptional circumstances.
Ahhhhh....the candles. Such fun, such great terminology. GOD, the OEX nearly finished with a bullish belthold, close as dammit, maybe we can consider it such... Couple of dojis in a row for the MSH, though, so the total picture isn't clear.
Anyway, buy the book. You'll like it.
