Kendall, education is of course a must. Investor's Business Daily is by far the best thing out there IMO. Additionally, William O'Neil's books are excellent. A friend of mine took two very good investing courses (spend thousands for them) and then read O'Neil's books (free with his subscription to IBD). He is an O'Neil fan now. One of the great things about IBD is that it gives you so much for so little. It's my vote for the best thing out there for any investor that is looking to increase their knowledge in investing, identifying good companies, etc. Education is the first important step. The journey can't be completed without experience. That's what makes up the difference between the level of success one will achieve. Unfortunately, like most things in life that require it, it takes time but the rewards it provides are phenomenal
