Ratan: I graduated from a protestant high school. Most of the teachers and students were Hindus. First thing in the morning , the whole school assembled in front of the Indian flag and we sang the National Anthem. Following that we got passages from Bible read to us by one of the Christian teachers for a minute or so. But we had weekly bible classes and we took exams in bible. There was no attempt at conversion and no student or parents ever complained about Bible classes. On the whole it was a rewarding experience. Being mischievous, I was made to sit in the corner once in a while. JPR
