14:06 ET Kulicke & Soffa (KLIC) 17.65 -0.70: Hearing that Dow Jones headline indicates that KLIC's Q3 sales will be below Q2 and that this is coming from an SEC filing; regardless of the source, Briefing.com would note that KLIC guided revenues to $115-130 mln for Q3 from revenues of $150.5 mln in Q2 back with its Q2 report on Apr 20, so this appears to be old news.

13:14 ET McDATA (MCDT) 40.62 +2.36: -- Update -- Stock hitting new session highs amid rumors that it has won a contract from EMC (EMC) over competitor Brocade (BRCD). Both MCDT and BRCD do plenty of business with EMC, however, and BRCD has been moving higher in recent trading as well, so it's not clear if the rumored contract win is the driver or it's just general optimism that enterprise spending is improving.

13:14 ET Cisco Systems (CSCO) 23.60 +0.73 (+3.2%): -- Update -- Hearing from sources at Salomon Smith Barney that firm is seeing an acceleration in Cisco's optical business, the result of a new product cycle; firm thinks strength in the optical segment will provide company with greater visibility... SSB also said to be positive on CIEN's business; however, wouldn't be an aggressive buyer of the stock.
