Seuss,

Since your intrigued with Imclone and are clearly willing to engage in some risk while patiently waiting for an outcome, I'd like to suggest two other interesting biotechs.

xoma.com

Xoma has just completed P3 trials with their drug Neuprex on Meningococcemia. Trial results will be unblinded mid-August. Meningo. is a rare disease with a limited market base. Xoma chose this indication to get fast track approval. However, Neuprex may be effective against a huge list of infective diseases. I would urge you to view the Xoma site and check the "KPMG Endotoxin" link. This is a paper by Dr. Michael Silverman. It lists all the possible applications that Neuprex may have. The paper is not technical and is very readable. Neuprex is a potential blockbuster.

My other recommendation is Empyrean Bioscience (EMDG). They make anti-microbial sanitary handwipes. Really boring, right! I agree. However, the compelling story here is that they will soon begin P3 trials on a spermicidal Vaginal Gel that will also protect against sexually transmitted diseases (std) including AIDS!!!

It doesn't take a genius to appreciate what kind of a market there would be for this. Results of the P3 trials may be a year and half away, but the stock is incredibly cheap. A very small company with an income stream and a potential blockbuster.

empyreanbio.com

In the spirit of full disclosure, I admit that I am invested in both companies.
