What does your priest say about carrying a chip around on your shoulder? It's not exactly a "chip", it's a statement of fact: many fundamentalist Evangelical Protestants don't consider [Catholics] to be "really Christian." Not one I had to go out of my way to find, it's been thrown in my face multiple times on Free Republic during discussions of religion. I am on a ping list for discussions about evolution/creation. Most Catholics believe in both, and the Pope has specifically stated that they are not mutually exclusive in the Catholic faith. Fundamentalist Evangelical Protestants for the most part believe that creationism and evolution are mutually exclusive, and that evolution is in fact a Communistic atheistic plot to destroy America. There are other religious "discussions" I don't participate in, just lurk, and they get nasty, too, even Catholic vs. Catholic on things like Vatican II and Novus Ordo masses. It's not all peace and love in the House of the Lord when people have differences of faith.
